These tours are designed for photographers of all levels who want to explore, learn, and capture the Lake District’s most breathtaking landscapes — from mirror-calm tarns to iconic mountain views.

Whether you’re looking for a one-day photography experience or a two-day workshop, each tour combines expert tuition, stunning locations, and the chance to develop your creative vision in one of the UK’s most photogenic regions.

1 Day Lake District Photo Tour

The one-day Lake District photography tour begins before dawn, capturing sunrise at Elterwater, a tranquil valley with beautiful reflections and views of the Langdale Pikes. Next, we visit Blea Tarn, one of the most photographed spots in the Lakes — perfect for mastering light, composition, and working with reflections.

In the afternoon, we explore a selection of classic and lesser-known locations, including Tarn Hows, Yew Tree Tarn, and Clappersgate near Loughrigg Tarn. These peaceful settings are ideal for practising composition and working with afternoon and golden-hour light.

Throughout the day, I’ll share practical photography tips — from camera settings and composition to using light and weather creatively — helping you capture professional-quality landscape images.

A full lunch is included and coffee in the afternoon. I also offer photos of you and another + one.

For those wanting a more immersive experience, the two-day Lake District photography workshop offers extended shooting time and the chance to visit more varied locations under different light conditions.

We start with sunrise at Rydal Water, photographing the famous lone tree, followed by a peaceful walk through Rydal’s woodland and reflections. Later, we visit Harrop Tarn above Thirlmere, a secluded spot surrounded by ancient forest and dramatic peaks.

In the evening, we move to Derwentwater for sunset at Ashness Jetty and the iconic Ashness Bridge, two of the Lake District’s most timeless viewpoints. This day focuses on refining composition, mastering exposure, and anticipating the changing light of the Lakes.
