Up and Coming Workshops
Due to demand and expansion of my photography business I am now offering some limited photography workshops. These will be around wildlife, in particularly Red Squirrels and Kingfishers. If you are interested In any of these workshops please get in touch
Landscape Workshops
£75
Option One : Morning or late evening at Blea Tarn
Meeting at Blea Tarn Car park we will venture around Blea Tarn where I will show you great places to get compositions, and how to get the best out of your camera. Maximum of 3 places per session. Optional zoom tutorial of how to get the best from your RAW images once you’ve taken them and back home!

Option Two : Walk up to Lingmoor Fell via Side Pike
You’ll get some stunning views both at sunrise and sunset from the summit. There are some classic shots that you will be able to capture, but also try new compositions to capture the stunning langdale pikes. I will show you how to get the best from your camera as you capture some stunning landscape images

Aviation Workshops
£150 half a day
Option One : A morning spotting from vantage points on Thirlmere
Meeting in Grasmere Village - will be guide you to all the locations where you can photograph fast jets from. I will give tutorial of how to photograph the aircraft and get some amazing shots. Vouchers are valid for 1 year and there are no guarantee that any aircraft will come through…a lens of at least 300m will be needed to get the best out of this experience. NB - you need to be relatively fit to walk up.

Option Two : A full day spotting at either Thirlmere or Loughrigg
Meeting in Grasmere Village - will be guide you to all the locations where you can photograph fast jets from. I will give tutorial of how to photograph the aircraft and get some amazing shots. Vouchers are valid for 1 year and there are no guarantee that any aircraft will come through…a lens of at least 300m will be needed to get the best out of this experience. NB - you need to be relatively fit to walk up.

Red Squirrel Workshops
£100
Option One : 2 Hours Minimum with Red Squirrels
The visit to the location will be near to Penrith and those coming on the workshop are encouraged not to share the location. This is to protect the red squirrels not to keep the location to ourselves. Penrith Red Squirrel Group also don’t encourage giving our locations. We can almost guarantee that you will get to photograph a red squirrel. I will you in compositions, lighting and the ability to capture them doing the funniest of things. A variety of lenes are reccomended and warm clothes. If you’re able to come in something camouflaged that would be even better.

Getting 200 raw photos is the easy bit, processing them you have to get your work flow right and shadows and highlights to get the best out of the picture. I will guide you through online / face to face to get the best edits from your pictures.

Kingfisher Workshop
£100
Option One : 2 Hours Minimum with Kingfishers
Kingfishers are very nervous birds. They need to eat 60% of their own body weight each day, therefore they are very active. Often you can miss them. Over the last 18 months I have got to learn the habits and perching points for a family of Kingfishers in Kendal. We will endeavour to go to the those locations and photograph them. A 600 lens is an absolute requirement for this workshop. Other hide equipment maybe available dependant on conditions.
